    • Sooraj Kumar Singh says:

Sir, I am using todo module in drupal7 and i need repeat and url field in my todo form,If there is anything regarding this ,please help me.

I will be very thankfull to you

    • MIke says:

Not sure where to put this. I have a question on modifying script. I would like the tabs to be in different colors and also the tags on each note to match tabs to category they are in. Thanks.

  2. Sam says:

In the new version, can the todo lists be exported via standard rss. My rss reader is not able to recognize the feed url.

    • Max Pozdeev says:

Yes, you can export RSS feed. I’ve tested in Google Reader.
Which rss client do you use?

      • Sam says:

Thanks for the update, the problem was in my rss client at android “minimal reader” it could not read https rss links.

      • Bryan says:

Is it possible to get the todo list with a more advanced editor for notes? I have tried to integrate a couple of the free Rich Text editors out there in PHP, but always with the same result.

Whatever the first note I click on gets the text in the RT editor, but then every note has the same text in the editor.

        Any suggestions??

  3. Pathe says:

    Thanks for the update

  4. Pathe says:

I just checked it out and it works in Opera now. Thanks.

  5. Thomas says:

awesome, much appreciated. keep up the good work, I really like mytinytodo, its very helpful.

  6. Danila Spiridonov says:

    • Max Pozdeev says:

      • Danila Spiridonov says:

        • Danila Spiridonov says:

          • Danila Spiridonov says:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function json_encode() in /srv/http/mytinytodo/init.php on line 152 Call Stack: 0.0052 760040 1. {main}() /srv/http/mytinytodo/ajax.php:0 0.0176 1035348 2. jsonExit() /srv/http/mytinytodo/ajax.php:28

    Помогите разобраться, пожалуйста.

  8. FS says:

This script is excellent! I have a few things I’d like to possibly have customized do you do any custom consulting work on the script or know anyone else who knows the coding well?

  9. viktor says:

hi, when I move an item, i always get the error 403 forbidden
    how can I fix that?

    • viktor says:

can someone help me? please answer to my email address. thank you!

    • Max Pozdeev says:

      What browser do you use?
What url do you see in address bar when this happens?

      • viktor says:

        Browser: Safari
Some error occurred (click for details)
        HTTP: 403/Forbidden

        same error with google crome
        thank you for the support

        • Max Pozdeev says:

Try to open in browser this url: /mytinytodo/ajax.php

If your mytinytodo installation has access via internet you can send me the address to my email: maxpozdeev@gmail.com

          • viktor says:

Same error. Is there any possibility to fix this error? I can’t send you the access, it’s a internal todo list of a company.
            best V.

  10. Daniel says:

There is an error when I fill in a due date manually…
    I continuesly keep getting this date:→ 3030-0404-0808

this happens when I try the date: 08-04-2011 (April 8th, 2011)
    bugfix for new version? 😉

  11. daniel says:

I guess my previous reply wasn’t appreciated? i had the error in the date/time format.
will this be in a next update?

  12. daniel says:

first, sorry for my last comment, you can delete it 😉 thnx for the reaction:
    i specify this:
    date format: d F Y
    short date format: dd-mm-yy

  13. Ali says:

He Give Me An Error when i add some task or any thing .. ” Exception: ‘Table ‘Database_todo.mtt_todolist’ doesn’t exist’ in /usr/home/MySite/public_html/FileName/class.db.mysql.php:24 “

  14. Laurent says:

    thanks for this super soft.
it will nice to have USER login (for store task of different user)

  15. FS says:

Any way to make the name of the chosen list shown when doing a print? If you go to print preview in IE or Firefox, or just go ahead and print it you don’t have the list title. Any way to make it so it will say the name of the list the items are from at the top? I’d say this is a worthy addition to consider 🙂

  16. Petr says:

Here is just a small hint from my daily practice with myTinyTodo.
The most effective sorting order for me is prio DESC, d_created DESC

in ajax.php add following code somewhere around line 88 and set “sorting” to be 5 in table lists):

    elseif($sort == 5) $sqlSort .= “prio DESC, d_created DESC”; // byPrioDateCreated

  17. akaroot says:

    Very good ToDo Manager!
But VERY lacking wysiwyg editor for notes.

    Please, realize that opportunity

  18. Chad says:

Very much enjoying MyTinyTodo. Light, fast, and importantly, actively developed and able to be installed on my own host. I sued to use tasktoy (tasktoy.com), but it stopped being developed and I was always afraid it would just go away. Especially when the developer started having connection issues. It did have a few nice things though. Each project or list had a color, and items were listed in that color, so you could also look at a list of everything and easily see the context. And you could easily set due dates like ‘next month’ or ‘every friday’ and it would understand that and hide it until it was due (and repeating items would go away when checked off, but return ‘every friday’). So I thought I’d share those feature ideas with you, and if you like them you could implement them, but if you don’t, that;s okay too, because mytinyTodo is already better in many ways.

  19. codex73 says:

I just installed the MyTinyTodo. Having the difficulty figuring out why completed tasks vanish from view. Using IE9.

Any way to work around this or the script is intended to work like that? IE9 issue?

  20. Milan says:

    Hi Max,

is it possible to use the application in a multi-user mode?

    • Max Pozdeev says:

      Actually, no.

      • Milan says:

any plans to make it multi user?

        • Max Pozdeev says:

          Yes, i will.

          • Jeremy says:

I love your program and honestly beleive it is the best to-do/task manager around because it is sooooo damn simple.

When/if you add the mult-user capabilities to it, please keep it simple and try not to turn it into an over-barring project management sweet -> REDMINE, etc.

          • Gary says:

I also would like to see multi-user capabilities added as a feature request. This is a very easy and friendly program to install and use. Thank you!

          • lj says:

Voting +1 for multiuser, a very basic user management would be appreciated.

Also, consider optional authentication using LDAP. This will help small teams on windows networks to share todo (in case of LDAP authentication no user system would be needed, as users can be authenticated via the LDAP)

  21. xor says:

    • Max Pozdeev says:

      • xor says:

        • xor says:

          • xor says:

  22. Richard M says:

Is it possible to columnise the lists yet? I asked this question some time ago but I don’t think it was possible then.

What I want to do is create a different column for each stage of a task, eg: Expired tasks on the left, today’s tasks or tasks with no set due date in the centre and future tasks on the right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    • Max Pozdeev says:

I think this is still not easy to achieve. You want to have 3 lists, while MTT works with only one.

      • Richard M says:

Thanks max. Continue the fantastic job. I wish I were a js developer because this project is one I’d love to contribute to.

  23. Franciel Dors says:

what you expected to make multiuser system?

    • Anonymous says:

Yes Fraciel. In my opinion, this structure would simplify MTT even further especially for those with multiple users.

  24. Richard M says:

Yes Francial. I think a structure like that would simplify the view even further, especially when there are multiple users using MTT.

  26. Scr says:

I see that the “Powered by” string isn’t translatable yet.

  27. Scr says:

There should be a way to have more than one author for each translation.

I sugest that authors name and email should be showed much like Gnome’s application credits are show on their about dialogs.

  28. Lugir says:

I’m using myTinyTodo v1.4.2, when i checked a item, it just disappeared than changed to cross-line text.

How can i make a finished item show as cross-line text and can uncheck it if neened.

    • Max Pozdeev says:

“Show completed tasks” command in the tab menu.

      • Carlos says:

Ok, but it only works for “All task” list.
Coulbe be posible for the single list view?

        • Adam Williamson says:

It works for any list, though it took me a couple minutes to find 🙂 whichever list you’re on has a small arrow on the right-hand side of its tab which drops down a menu, and ‘Show completed tasks’ is right at the bottom of this menu.

  29. Владимир says:

    Максим подскажи в чем проблема. Установил пароль теперь выдает ошибку при входе Warning: ‘session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/home/paziy/public_html/task/tmp/sessions/sess_7eab8d1885bb1bc564cdf871d4bc1f8e, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13)’ in /home/paziy/public_html/task/init.php:63 #0 /home/paziy/public_html/task/init.php(63): myErrorHandler(2, ‘session_start()…’, ‘/home/paziy/pub…’, 63, Array) #1 /home/paziy/public_html/task/ajax.php(12): require_once(‘/home/paziy/pub…’) #2 {main} Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0

    • Max Pozdeev says:

  30. mihey says:

  31. Jan Wold says:

    Truly great tool !

However, if one could make “top nodes” like a “project”, it would enable us to use it for multiple projects, with tabs. Like having 3 sites running. Any plans?

  32. Daniel Częstki says:

Hello. When are You planning new version ?

  33. Paweł Słowik says:

The name of the month regardless of the selected language is always English.

  34. Srikanth AD says:

May I ask, when will the next version be released?

  35. synmuffin says:

Is there a list of ALL $config options somewhere, took me forever to figure out $config[‘allow’] also want to know if there is one for making ALL tasks (both complete and incomplete) show by default.

  36. ValeryVS says:

how to display the closed tasks strikeout instead of hiding them?

  37. Malchish says:

  38. Christian says:

Is there a chance to set a status “Pending” on a task?

What we want is setting the Taskpriority to “2”, then we set a “Due”-date and the new Flag “Pending”. And then the Status is “Pending” until the Due-Date. Then the task is prio 2.

  39. Luis says:

From thinking on having a todo list on my webpage to having it installed in no time, your work was great!

Thanks very much for this fine piece of art.

One thing I have not managed to find out is what (may be tag) needs to be done to have something appear as a public task (before logging in).

    Thanks again for your time.

    Cheers from South America.

  40. Bobby says:

What happen with the new version, i want multi user 🙂

  41. Javier says:

I’m having trouble getting my mobile phone to render this page properly, are there any settings to change? Your ‘demo for mobile’ links works fine on my phone however.

  42. Hedy says:

Small suggestion for a new version : could it be possible to add an option on the setup page, to choose if a new entry in a todo-list be placed on the top of the list, or on the bottom ?

It’s logical to put the new entry on the bottom of the list, but in my case, I generaly want them on the top (so I have to move it from bottom to top manually after publish)
Maybe a small radio button on the right of the main input case (top/bottom) could be appreciable !

    Thanks 🙂

  43. Tom says:

    Hi Max,

Thanks for a fantastic, wonderfully minimal “to do” solution. I’ve installed it on my server and it’s working great. Just one issue so far and a couple of enhancement requests:

It appears that the autotagging isn’t working in my installation. I have enabled this in the settings and all other functions appear to work okay – any suggestions about where to look to fix this?

    – The Tag cloud doesn’t resize for a term if the task has been completed (this can lead to tags being in the cloud that are no longer in the “open” list of tasks.)
    – Would it be possible to look at allowing drag-and-drop of a task into another tab?
    – Autofill of tags when using the “smart syntax” eg. if I start typing /+1/Important task /wi it will offer a dropdown list of possible tags starting with wi (similar to Google’s autocomplete suggestions)
    – How far off is the multiple user version? If you need any help with Beta testing this functionality I’d be more than happy to do so

Thanks again for a great product!

  44. Noble Ossage says:

  45. vadbars says:

  46. Jur says:

I have version 1.4.2 but i looking for new futeres, can you mail my?

  47. Nicolas says:

Wonderful work. Keep it as simple as possible. I understand its aim is for personal use (even if a multi-user version would conserve the spirit !)
I would like to know if you plan to add a few options like :
    cross-list search ?
    cross-list tags selection ?
I know it is possible by viewing all tasks, but I am sure the quickest (less clicks) is the best for this kind of tool.

  48. james says:

The program is incredible! is simple, functional, fast! My congratulations for this great program.

Do you plan to do that by adding a new task automatically send an email to the user? This is fine if several people use the program to perform tasks in the group.

On the other hand, would be great if you could publish a public RSS, but not visible from the main site, ie a kind of private RSS, with a URL hard to find, for example:

    Again, congratulations on your application!

  49. Nick says:

Is there anyway to remove the inputbox quickly somewhere in the code. As it is next to the expand arrow it is just to easy to delete a task. I rather prefer the manual method of clicking on the right side of the tag and explictly select the delete option.

  50. HaCos says:

This a very good work! well done! Does public tasks work? How can we create ones?

  51. Mesut says:

is this GREAT script still under development?
if it is; can we have custom fields please 🙂

  52. Realetive says:

How I can create a RSS-feed with my todolist? If I open /feed.php, I see “No such list”.
Если я открываю /feed.php, я вижу “No such list”.

  53. Narann says:

Thank a lot for this wonderful little web app. I use it on my home server and it work perfectly.

I’ve made a little donation for support. 😉

    Thanks again!

  54. ScottM says:

Just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic, lightweight tool. I use this both for personal use and for client-work for small, web-based projects.

There’s little I’d change, perhaps the ability to upload attachments (for tasks which are bug reports etc), but that’s about it.

  55. Gourav says:

When are you planning to shot new release ?

  56. Samuel says:

thank you for the wonderful script…any news on the next major update!

  57. skc says:

Great job. The best todo list system I have ever found.

  58. Peter G says:

A great script! I’m shocked! … And yet, I would like to add features:
    – Copy of the task between lists (not just move).
    – Add one column (who / whom / how many).

    Thank you!

  59. Alex says:

Hey, i’ve created a github project and plan to continue the work on this project, because i love the tool. For feature requests or bugs you may contact me.

  60. Gangesh says:

Hello Max, are you still developing this software?
Its simple great. The thing that will make is user system, where admin can assign different tabs to different user with modes like ‘Read Only’ or ‘Editor’. Let me know if any contribution is required.
    Looking forward to it.

  61. Naomi says:

    Hello guys,
first, sorry for my bad english…
so on: i want to use this not as a fumktionaly todo list. the design and edit funktions are pretty what im searching for. what i doesnt need, and i cant find it in the source code, is the checkboxes to done the entries. can somebody told me, where they are, so i can move it to display:none? thanks a lot!
    hopefully: naomi

  62. mike says:

    is the project still alive?

  63. Paul says:

I really like the latest update, i really wish we could introduce the concept of assignment, that is once you enter team members “Names” filterable you create a task and assign it to a person, at the moment I have to use the tabs for that.

  64. James E. says:

Is there any further development being done on MyTinyTodo? Or is this project as is?

  65. J. Newing says:

Does $config[‘allow’] = “read”; not work anymore? I would really like a way to allow public users to read the todo list however only people with the password to add/update/edit items.

  66. FS says:

Any new updates coming soon? Just curious to know if so.

  67. Evan says:

If we can login with a username and a shared password (like Dradis Framework), mytinytodo will become a wonderful tool for small team cooperating! I hope you will consider my proposal.

  68. bruce says:

when I setup ,why it always say:”unkown database”? what’s wrong?

  69. Hans says:

I really love your to do list.
Are there any updates coming ? Would be n1 to have some themes to choose ( I hate designing 🙂 )

  70. Scott says:

Loving this script. Big problem with setting a password, though, as it’s stored in clear text in the config file. Easy enough to fix, although a better solution is probably needed for the long term. Add the md5() function on the following lines:

    ajax.php: line 292: $password = md5(_post(‘password’));

    settings.php: line 25: if(isset($_POST[‘password’]) && $_POST[‘password’] != ”) Config::set(‘password’, md5($_POST[‘password’]));

  71. Scott says:

I would dearly love a ‘/feed.php?list=all’ option, to feed all published lists in a single query. When trying to keep multiple people updated with a changing number of lists, having to constantly update the reader with list IDs (added and deleted) is a chore.

  72. Scott says:

Several have asked for multi-user. Until it is made available, I’ve simply installed multiple copies. For example:

Each user sets their own password and controls their own lists, what’s published vs not published, etc.

Then, to simplify navigation, I create a modified theme, starting with a copy of the ‘default’ them:

In the index.php, I change the following lines:

    as follows:

    Bob |
    John |
    Karen |
    Scott |

Hope that helps some of you (until there’s a real multi-user version, at least!)

  73. Scott says:

Could we have an option to make individual items on a list ‘private’ so even if the list is published those items will not be published?

Would love to have multiple notes, stored/displayed chronologically, for list items.

It would also be very helpful to have an option for a list item to allow someone other than the owner (when security is enabled) to add notes.

An indicator on a list tab (and list item if the above is implemented) to show what’s published and what’s private.

  74. Scott says:

One last item. In a minor not toward using MTT for rudimentary quick&dirty, small project management, it would be helpful to have add/modify/due/complete dates on both the list (tab) and the task (list item). Along with a status field (New, Started, Waiting, On-Hold, Review, Complete, Cancelled, etc.) No fancy interactions, just places to capture that info.

It would, however, be nice to be able to set the status options (as will as the priority values for the existing priority field) in the config file.

  75. Julien says:

    Export in CSV.
Encode is incorrect in french language.
Result with accent is like “créer une tâche”.

  76. climb4fun says:

    Dear “MyTinyTodolist” team,

thumbs up – great tool. Did it discover by accident. It think tool should be more promoted – possibly via sourceforge.

I agree with FS, upcoming updates would be very interesting.

  77. Tadas says:

How can i see the tasks which i marked as DONE. it is possible to make them visible ?

  78. Pascal says:

does anyone knows if it’s possible to link directly to the edit page with get data ?

For the single list is possible with index.php?list=1 , but how could I link the edit pages ?

  80. jorge says:

    Max –
After trying several todo lists managers, including a couple of well-known ones, I found yours and I have been using it for about a month now… Very good and simply to use! Thank you!

Do you still plan on updating the app? One thing would be nice to have is to have it receive todos via email .. (I think it is the only feature I have really missed)

  81. Mario says:

Max, appreciate your Work on this todo list, but as the last Version is quite a while back, I would be interested if you are still working on a Multi-User implementation.

  82. Sooraj Kumar Singh says:

i am tried to make a projrct and i need Repeat and url field in my todo form,so can anybody help me regarding this.I am really need both field .

Very nice solution. Maybe you can upload or send me your version of MyTinyTodo?

    • Samuel says:

can u publish this version? I will help you test it. thank you!

    • Ronny says:

      cool version of mytinytodo.
do you have a newer version of it, or is this the current state of your todolist?

I’m looking for something like html5/css3 that is usable for mobile devices too.
If you don’t develop your current version anymore, I have to look further or make my own version.

      Greetings Ronny

    • Q-Storm says:

Best tool I’ve found so far. Is there a roadmap of what you’re planning for the future?

  90. ybabel says:

Would be great to add task depencies or task hierarchy !

I like it a lot it is really handy!

  92. Dziarski Hank says:

Hi, just wanted to thank you for that great script. Been using it for more than a year.

  93. Al says:

There is a bug that I’ve confirmed in your demo site, if you select the checkbox to say a task is done, it deletes the task instead.

This does not happen on the may todo list, but for any other list it just deletes the item and you cannot find it anymore

    otherwise, this todo list rocks.

    Thank you.

  94. Simone says:

I just want to say thanks for this awesome release. This is great software.

  95. martin says:

I’m getting a lot of problems with it on Opera 12.14 and SRWare Iron (chromium) also under Epiphany web browser. it seems like it cannot read from DB. Under Iceweasel is fine.

  96. martin says:

…the same is under windows. It seems only Mozilla is doing well with it. Also with yourtinytodo

  97. yusuf says:

Hi. its really awesome but I need help to make it for multi user. The users are already accesing to my other pages with php session. So, where can I add to “WHERE user = $user” to the primary sql query. Sorry I’m not good in php. Thanks for help.

  98. lj says:

It will be nice when tasks are done (click on checkbox) that they do not disappear but get crossed over (so to see what is done).

This is specially important when todo list is shared among couple of people working on the same tasks.

if it is implemented in this way some new views will be interesting for example show/hide done tasks.

finally it would be nice to have “clean-up” function that actually delete done tasks at one go.

  99. Willy says:

Hello and thank you very much for this great tool! the demo looks just like what i need. unfortunately I am unable to install it. I setup a MySQL Database uploaded mytinytodo to the webserver, but somehow i cannot properly execute the setup.php. after I specify the access information to the DB and click next, all i get is a blank screen. What might be the reason?

    • Willy says:

in case ever anyone has the same problem: try calling on the setup.php from an IP outside your LAN. that’s what fixed it for me… for peculiar reasons i dont understand…

  100. Peter says:

hi, how can i set an entry in my todolist = OK (colorblock: green / text:OK)
    i can set the prio +2 to -1 but i dont found a ‘finished’-prio.
if i finished a work fast i will mark this entry as OK/finished!
and this entry must leave in my todolist.
    please help me.
    thnak you

  110. tat says:

  111. Xiang Ruan says:

    Dear Max Pozdeev

I installed mytinytodo last night. It is really a great online GTD tool for me: small, simple and interface in a very GTD way!
This tool will be completely perfect to me if it has following functions
    * dealing with recurring tasks
    * a very simple notification function such as pop-up window or sending a notification email

I wonder if you have any plan to add above functions?

Thank you again for your great work

    best regards,

  112. Ernst says:

    Nice tool.

It seems to be a little bug in datepicker.
    The month are not translated.

  113. Pedro says:

Thanks for this tool! It works great!
As a suggestion, it would be good to have a “text” field for filling some information when the task is marked as done. It would be useful for texts like this “this work was solved and commited to the repository of project ABC”.
    thanks in advance

  115. j says:

just wanted to say – still a nice script. we are using it with success!

  116. mttdAym says:

Hi everybody, i am a developer and i wish you can help me guys !
In fact i would add the number of task (dynamic generated) just right of the name like for an exemple : if “Philip” has 2 task it shows “Philip (2)”.
I think its inside the javascript code or in php files… i really don’t know…

    i hope someone can help

    Thanks Aym

  120. Karsten says:

    Next version of myTinyTodo

I am using your ToDo application and it fits nearly perfect to my needs.

What i am missing is the functionality to have an email notification for the due dates.
I found a solution here, but i will try to write a new better one in perl.

Additionally i am missing a feature to have repeating events.
Like no, daily, weekly, monthly, quarter, year.
(It could be coded as one char in the database.)

It would be helpful too, to have a field with the number of days to remind before the due date.
Like setting 2 will remind two days before the date and 0 will not.

So there are additional 2 fields in the table todolist needed.
This is not the problem, but i am not good in PHP programming,
so would it be possible that you can add this fields to the frontend?

I will write the perl script that checks daily the due dates and will send an email notification.
It can simply be added to the daily cron scripts in Linux.

Then we would get together a new version 1.4.3 or 1.5.0

  121. Mike says:

Hello, i found your great webtool today (yes it’s 2016) via Google =)

Did you still working on this project? I’ve some little proposals:

    – an option to add an attachment to the task.
    – if a new comment is added to the Task, the date/time of the comment should be auto-insert to the text.

    Thanks a lot.

  122. Hollister says:

How to make it compatible with PHP 7?

  123. Marc says:

I do not understand how the demo version works. How to have the elements crossed out because when I click on the square my spots are erased which is a pity. Can you explain to me what to do? Merci

  124. Sanjay Samanta says:

It is possible to upload image when adding or edit task? I am using v1.4.3 version.

  125. Juanma says:

My congratulations for this application, is the best that I could find to organize my tasks. I keep all my tasks and works in this application so that it serves as a historical and to be able to consult when I want some tasks carried out some time ago. My question is if there is any possibility of inserting pagination into the task list. I have more than 8000 registered tasks and the list becomes very long. Please, could someone tell me which code I would have to insert and in what file to be able to do a pagination of eg show 50 or 100 tasks instead of all the content at once?
Thank you very much in advance…

good job. I use it in my NAS.
I want to write a client app for it, does it has any restful api or will ?

    • B L says:

Started working on a client myself this week. Yes, it’s restful. Inspect and view network requests. A bugger to get authenticated, but easy as can be after.

I’ve noticed that in PDA view mode new lists are not updated(if for examples new list is added)
Is there a way to fix this?

  130. Mike says:

Don’t like that checking box deletes task. Just mark it complete and let user delete with dropdown menu.

    • alex says:

It marks the task completed. You may toggle your completed tasks using such option in a current tab dropdown menu.
